The Embassy Suites by Hilton Franklin Cool Springs offers a comfortable stay with spacious suites and a convenient location near Nashville. While many guests praise the friendly staff and extensive breakfast options, particularly the omelet station, recurring issues with room cleanliness and maintenance, including mold, cracks, and lingering odors, are consistently reported, especially given the recent renovation claims. Location convenience is offset by the need for a car and limited daytime food service.
**Great staff, concerning room condition for a hotel that "just finished renovating"** Stayed one night here for a business trip. I want to lead with what was genuinely excellent: the entire staff team was kind, welcoming, and accommodating throughout the stay. I arrived hours before standard check-in time, and the front desk got me into a room right away. That gesture saved my workday and was much appreciated. The breakfast was solid, with the made-to-order omelet station being a real highlight, and the evening manager's reception was a nice touch after a long travel day. The room itself was spacious and the layout was fine, though lighting could have been better. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness and maintenance didn't match the staff quality. That was especially surprising given that I was told at check-in that the hotel had just celebrated completion of a full renovation the prior week. The first room I was assigned had a strong, pervasive smell of wet, mildewed laundry. It was unusable. I went back to the front desk and they accommodated my room change promptly, but the only available room was the one directly above. That room smelled stale and moldy as well. Milder, but still present. I pushed through because I had meetings to log into. That evening when I went to shower, the source of the issue became clear. The tub had: - Pink mold growing along the entire bottom edge where it meets the tile - Two visible cracks in the tub surface, one wide enough that water clearly penetrates through it, which almost certainly explains the wet-laundry smell in the room directly below - Visible hair, debris, and buildup inside the tub - Failing, discolored caulk that should have been redone as part of any actual renovation Later that night, I found two ants on the bed. It's difficult to reconcile this with the description of a freshly completed renovation. Either the renovation focused on cosmetic and common-area updates without addressing actual room conditions, or the housekeeping deep-clean protocols aren't catching what should be obvious issues. A cracked tub with active water penetration is a maintenance issue a renovation should have surfaced and resolved. Pink mold and surface debris are cleaning failures. Neither should be present in a property advertising recent renovation completion. The experience left me uncomfortable and second-guessing how clean any of the rooms here actually are. A few other practical notes for fellow business travelers: - Location is awkward. Nothing is walkable, so you'll need a car for everything - In-hotel food service isn't available during the day until 5pm, which is inconvenient if you're working from the room and want a lunch option
This hotel is a dream. Large rooms, CLEAN and comfortable. I stayed here on a business trip and was so impressed. The lobby is gorgeous and I was greeted by friendly staff. I fell sleep watching Netflix on the TV. They even personalized my room with my name on the TV as I walked in. You need to stay here if you are looking for luxury at a competitive price. Thank you Embassy- I will 100% be a returning guest!
Not far from I-65. They are currently renovating the property. The rooms are done nicely. Most rooms appear to be suite styled. Mini living room with double queens in a separate room. This was a business trip: hundreds of people for a week long conference. On the first day only two of the three elevators worked. During the height of the day, they closed down one of the two elevators to polish the doors. (Pissed hundreds of people off, having to use the stairs to get to their rooms) The hotel offers a daily-free cocktail hour from 5:30p until 7:00pm with lite refreshments, then it becomes a full bar. Daily Continental breakfast with an omelette station. They offer two huge conference rooms that can be converted into many spacious rooms. They did not skimp on the air conditioning, it was very cold in the rooms. The lunch meals were catered by the hotel: very delicious meals. The cooks did an amazing job. Once the renovations finish this hotel will seem luxurious.
My stay at Embassy Suites in Franklin was excellent from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, but what really stood out was the service. A special thank you to Melissa, the Food & Beverage Manager, who truly went above and beyond. She made sure the dinner reception ran smoothly and created a welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. You can tell she takes pride in what she does, and it shows. The suites are spacious and well set up with a separate living area, which made it easy to relax. Everything was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The dinner reception was a highlight—good food, great setup, and a nice way to unwind in the evening. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent with plenty of fresh options. The location is perfect—close to shopping, restaurants, and just a short drive to Nashville, while still being quiet and peaceful. Overall, this hotel delivers great service, great food, and a very comfortable stay. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.
We came up and stayed the last week of January. The hotel is under construction, getting all new rooms and everything. There was a couple of minor hiccups that were fixed in no time Dawn that works. The front desk is amazing. She did a fantastic job helping in anything we needed. Highly recommend.
At this time STAY AWAY! They are under a major renovation and they did not tell us about any of this. Whole center portion is shut down and noisy from them working. The pool is closed. The fitness room is closed. All the floors are very dusty. None of the ice machines are hooked up. We call down to main lobby and only get a machine, not able to get a person. They are charging us full price for our room and this is a barely functioning hotel. The website says they charge for parking $12 per day and if they do with everything we have to put up with around here will be another complaint we will have. I am sure when they are done it will be nice but the rooms should be half price due to you can’t use anything around here. Not happy with stay here.
Shoutout to the staff at this hotel who went above and beyond during Nashville's ice storm. They offered displacement rates and were helpful, and customer focused throughout our stay. Note: There is a lot of work being done in the lobby (so there is no lobby at all and a good bit of loud noise throughout the day) but they made us feel comfortable while we were without electricity for a week. The rooms are a bit dated but will surely be improved with the renovations are complete. We stayed at a Homewood Suites in Brentwood for two nights when we first had to evacuate our house and had the exact opposite experience we had here—we are thankful we moved to this property until we could go home. Extra shout out to Josh and Malashyia, who both helped me sort through my invoice and add extra nights as needed and kept a smile on their faces even though the check in desk was chaos at times with so many people checking in and out.
I've never had a problem with any of the embassy suites we have stayed at. After canceling our reservation at another hotel because of the quality we decided to come here. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and kind, it was our anniversary so she gave us a little gift. The room was clean and breakfast was very good. They are doing renovations to the main lobby right now so there was a little bit of noise but that was expected and it was also posted online to make everyone aware. We didnt notice it at all in our room though. Would diffently go back and its still very close to pretty much everything in the area.
Room comfortable and clean. Reception staff very nice. Dawn was very nice and efficient. Breakfast was good. But I don’t like coming down 5 minutes early to have coffee and seeing staff eating then just coming to food station at 7:00 to light grill for omelet. Should be ready to go at 7 and maybe eat where patrons can’t see. Also maybe have a rule that clothes need to be worn on patrons. Old pajamas and gowns and see through pajamas should not be allowed. Should be appropriately dressed. I would suggest enforcing no pajamas.
Loved our stay here!! We were here for the weekend for Cheer competition and with the help of Malashyia helping us with all ours needs with no problems made our stay go so smooth. We got put in one of their newly renovated rooms and it was so spacious and nice!! The kids loved the Indoor pool and the breakfast they cooked was so delicious!! Can’t wait to book our next stay in this spring!
