The Franklin Marriott Cool Springs offers a generally pleasant stay with some notable strengths and areas for improvement. Recent renovations have enhanced the aesthetic, and the staff, particularly in certain instances, provides excellent service. However, guests have reported issues ranging from outdated room conditions and inconvenient fees to staffing inconsistencies and cleanliness concerns.
I stayed for a business trip. The hotel is extremely nice and comfortable. The room was clean and the bed slept well. The only issue I had was upon check-in. The lady who checked me in was slow and rude. She was middle aged and had blonde hair. If you stay and she is working the counter avoid her line. The younger lady checked in three people before I was checked in, and I had already started checking in prior to her stepping up to help the people behind me in line. Please note that’s why I gave them a 2 for service. If they remove her from checking folks in, they’d easily receive a 5.
I stayed at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs during the Bizzard Conference 2026. Overall, the stay was decent, but there are clear areas where improvement is needed. The room itself was exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, I was unable to fully enjoy either due to an overwhelming smell of fresh paint that lingered throughout the night. The odor was strong enough to be nauseating and made for a restless stay. Another major drawback was the persistent nickel-and-diming. Charging $5 for a bottle of room water and offering WiFi only at $9.95 or $14.95 per day feels excessive, especially given the nightly room rate. WiFi should be a basic inclusion at this price point. The cumulative effect of charging for nearly everything comes across as greedy and inhospitable. That said, the overall look and feel of the hotel is nice. The renovations, while inconvenient during the stay, appear to be moving the property toward a more modern and chic aesthetic, which is appreciated. With better attention to guest comfort during renovations and a more reasonable approach to amenities, this could be a stronger experience. As it stands, it was acceptable, but not particularly welcoming.
[July 2025] I stayed at this hotel during my Nashville stay and was immediately blown away by the smokey mountain painting on my bedroom wall. Despite being tucked away in an offshoot city near Nashville, I was pleasantly surprised by how relaxing my stay was. I stayed alone and felt safe. I also got to swim and play in the pool mostly by myself until a bunch of moody teenagers came down.
Room was nice and clean. The guy that checked us in was not very friendly. We stayed after attending a Christmas party there. The drinks were a bit pricey. You could hear everything going on in the hallway while in the room.
Great customer service at the Front desk. On 2 seperate occasions, we received free gifts because of minor inconveniences we encountered. It's not expected, but it's a blessing. Parking is free here, which is a big plus. Hotel is overall very cozy! The fridges actually have temperature nobs, which not every hotel has these days.
Simply elegant hotel. Our room was posh and the dining area for breakfast was very well put together. It was an open and airy bar, that doubled as a breakfast location. I can't speak highly enough on their staff throught the hotel.
Franklin Cool Springs Marriott is a great choice for a comfortable stay. The hotel is very clean with a large parking lot that makes arriving easy. Amenities are well kept and the bed was extremely comfortable for a restful night. The food was surprisingly very good and service matched the quality. Overall a wonderful stay that I would gladly return to and recommend for both business and leisure.
Traveled here for a dance competition and meet my best friend. The rooms were well with the money. Good layout, AC/heat worked very well. Everything was clean. The tub that I had was a handicap one with a nice seat and handwond. The water pressure was great and the hot water stayed hot even with all the dancers showing etc. The down side would be that the tub is slick as ice. The hotel didn't have mats to put in the tub for anti slip. The iron board wasn't able to be used either. The wheelchair ramps were a bit tight and the bathroom doors had no assistance buttons so going in and out with my chair was a pain. The hotel does lie when it says that it has two restaurants it's one restaurant that has the ability to serve Starbucks also so they claim it's two restaurants but in reality it's only one. However if you aren't in a wheelchair I think you'd love the hotel.
Edit: WOW and a parking ticket. Front desk staff made no mention of this little policy. Every car in the lot this morning had a ticket. A hotel past it's prime... The lobby looks great, the gym and restaurant are top notch. Going up to your room you're reminded of the age of the place. Dim lights and uneven bubbling wallpaper in the hallways. Opening the door you're greeted by a low popcorn ceiling, and an oddly placed entry light. The walls show several years of paint and repairs and are no longer smooth. The furniture is small and dinged showing how long it's been there. The placement is odd too. I found myself without a place to unload my luggage except for the bed. Bathrooms have some nice touches and shine beautifully but overall it still felt as old as the room. And the coffee... What full service hotel doesnt have free coffee? I can understand breakfast, but coffee? And you slap sell "Starbucks" who's known for having the highest markups + the hotel markup. I walked away with a $5.20 16oz black coffee. Overall I was disappointed when comparing the room rate and what else is available in Franklin
They now charge for parking ($15 per night) which they blame on the City of Franklin. Booked a 4 night stay while I was in town for business and their internet was down the entire time. There are definitely nicer hotels close by that offer better service for a more competitive price.
