The Hyatt Place Nashville/Franklin/Cool Springs offers a convenient location near shopping and restaurants, often praised for its comfortable rooms and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistencies in service, outdated facilities, and concerns about cleanliness and breakfast offerings. Some guests have experienced difficulties with cancellations and refunds.
The rooms are decent and the hotel is in a good location. However, definitely don't get this hotel if you're looking for a good included breakfast. The breakfast is very lackluster, very few selections. No pancakes, sausage, bacon, or biscuits. Cereals, eggs, bagels, and fruit were all that was available.
We stayed at Hyatt Place Franklin and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall. The hotel feels quite outdated, and the layout is very narrow, which made the space feel cramped and uncomfortable. One of the biggest issues was the bed. We paid for a double queen room, but the beds seemed much smaller—honestly closer to full-size—which made it difficult for a comfortable night’s sleep. The breakfast was another letdown. It lacked variety and flavor, and overall felt very basic and unappetizing. The only positive aspect of our stay was that the room was quiet, which we did appreciate. However, that alone doesn’t make up for the other shortcomings. Overall, this hotel feels more like a 2-star property and is significantly overpriced for what it offers.
Overall, we had a good stay at the Hyatt. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice perk with good options for our family. The room was nice and spacious, which made our stay more comfortable. One challenge we experienced was the lack of a luggage cart upon arrival. We’re used to having one available, so it was a bit difficult having to carry all of our bags up to the room ourselves. Aside from that inconvenience, everything else about the stay was positive.
If I could leave a lower review I would. We stayed at this hotel this week and not only was it not in a great location the service was terrible. It felt dirty and the elevators seemed unsafe. My husband is a globalist and we needed to check out a day early due to how disappointed I was with the hotel. I went down to let the woman at the front desk know we were checking out a day early and she said no problem and thanks for being a globalist. However, she failed to actually check us out. Then when confronted about why we were charged she lied and said I never told her we were checking out. This is absolutely the worst Hyatt we have stayed. Bad location and outdated hotel might be on us for not researching but dishonest staff is unacceptable. If you are in Franklin and want to stay at a Hyatt make sure you stay at Hyatt House not at Hyatt Place!!
First things first Michael was a huge help getting a room for extended stay due to the Ice storm. Helpful and kind through the whole process and put us a little more at ease with all we’ve been going through! So huge thank you to him! The only employee I cared to go to for help. Not as much the others. This hotel needs a microwave in the breakfast area…. First hotel I’ve been to that doesn’t have one that was annoying. A hotel that has a weird sleep therapy section but no microwave lol
January 2026 Middle TN Ice Storm. Our apartment complex lost power for 4+ days with no power. A friend found a room here on HotelsTonight the first day of the outage. She asked the front desk to reserve us a room and they did. Each day when we found out we still had no power, they extended our stay. All this at a very reasonable rate. They told us there was no cancellation policy if we regained power, but we didn't get to find out. The room was a mini-suite with seperate sitting area. The bed was comfy. The Internet was fine, albeit a little slow. It had a large TV with good channel selection (we are TV people). Dogs are allowed. The location is excellent in the Cool Springs Mall area with lots of shopping and restaurants. It was nice to be able to get our steps in walking inside the mall. This place was like a warm, welcoming island in the midst of cold chaos. Thank you!
Hotel is old and getting dated with little to no upkeep. Smells of musty mildew, hvac yo-yos from one extreme to the other, staff is non-helpful to rude, coffee pots make coffee taste like soured water, and the breakfast is reused from day to day (moldy fruit). Would not recommend this Hyatt.
Really nice. Staff was friendly. Hotel and room were clean and quiet. I appreciate it being pet friendly. I was there for the Vanderbilt sleep study and my family stayed in a room upstairs. The fruit compote and yogurt I had for breakfast was really good. I would stay again if I had to.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while attending a business meeting nearby. The location is convenient with closeby amenities such as grocery, dining, and entertainment. The hotel appears older but has had some updates. The room and common areas were clean and everything in the room worked as it should. On multiple occassions there was no attendant at the front desk; on one occassion I saw a 10+ minute period of no attendant and a guest who couldn't check in because of this. The fitness center is small and has a Peloton bike, 2 treadmills, an eliptical, a full set of dumbbells, and a weight bench. Of note, the fitness center didn't have any yoga mats for floor-based weights or core. There was a half used water bottle on a treadmill on day 1 that was still there on day 2. Overall, I would stay here again. The desk being unattended at times was a bit concerning.
This is our first time staying at a Hyatt brand hotel. My husband and I are absolutely in awe at this beautifully quaint place! Our king sofa room is darling and everything is clean and smells wonderful. Michael, our supervisor concierge, is so professional and welcoming. He explained everything about the hotel that we needed to know professionally and in detail. We were welcomed as Hyatt members and offered our waters without asking as well. We will definitely be staying here when we are in the area again! We are absolutely in love with the area and this hotel. ? Add on from the next day after our stay: the breakfast is fresh, full of fresh food options, and has a wonderful selection of healthy items. I also started out my morning in the beautiful sitting area to enjoy my Tazo tea provided by the hotel breakfast bar. ? The area was clean, volume well controlled, and multiple staff members were present to assist with my questions.
