This lower-end hotel offers decent, recently updated rooms at a budget price, but suffers from significant inconsistencies in housekeeping, dud appliances, and an unsatisfactory breakfast experience.
Rooms okay for a night stay. They only keep 2 towels that is age old quality. The staffs are grumpy. The breakfast area is so small that you will be rubbing shoulders in the morning peak hours. The breakfast quality is cheap, filthy. Paying more than $100 as they hiked the price coz of Friday the overall experience is below average.
We stopped at this place on a whim during a road trip after driving 12+ hours straight. For a quick sleep…. It did the job. You definitely get what you pay for. Front desk staff was friendly enough and the bathroom in our room was nice, but there were many improvements that could be made. Our bed sheets had stains and several black hairs on them. There were mystery stains on the headboard, chair, light switches, and bathroom wall. The carpet didn’t seem vacuumed throughout the entire hotel - there was debris on the carpet through the room, hallways, and stairwells. The hot tub’s water was cloudy and yellow. Breakfast was average for a cheap hotel. Overall, fine for a quick break from the road but wouldn’t suggest it for any more than that.
This La Quinta was decent for the price, not the best value in the world but doable for a night or two. Yes, there is an odd smell in the entire building mostly noticeable at night. The best thing about this hotel is that the location is right off the highway so if you need to stop for the night it will do. If you are looking for something fancy this is not it but if you are looking for a short stay hotel at a decent price this will do.
Several small things were lacking. Housekeeping wasn't paying attention to details. I noticed some of the same characteristics in the breakfast area too. The staff was pleasant, rooms clean and bed reasonably comfortable.
The gentlemen who worked at the desk Thursday night is the same excellent gentleman who served me on my last visit. Grateful for him. He makes this location a delight. I was not greeted when I checked in Tuesday evening. The front desk worker was deep into the office on his phone. I had to tap on the desk and raise my voice to be heard and served. He did acknowledge my loyalty status. When I exited the elevator on the 4th floor to go to my room, I smelled a foul odor. The trash can was overflowing. I snapped a picture of it and returned to the lobby to inform the front desk worker. He didn't care. He didn't apologize. He said, "Well, we'll take care of that tomorrow." The problem was worse the next morning. The hotel boasts an indoor pool and hot tub which I fully enjoyed on my last visit. However when I went to the pool for a workout, all of the windows and doors were open making an indoor pool an outdoor pool. Turns out that the build up of steam off of the water and hot tub caused a chlorine cloud that set off smoke detectors in the hotel. Surely there is another remedy so that guests can enjoy the pool and hot tub. The gym is still out of commission. I was informed it will be two more months. In past travel when a gym or pool has been in repair or renovation, hotels have worked out agreements with nearby properties. I encourage you to do so. I'm sure the deal will rarely be used, but for a traveler who works out on purpose, it would be greatly appreciated. I spoke with the positive and helpful front desk worker about the poor water pressure in the shower in hopes something can be done. As reported last time, breakfast contains no protein, the area is poorly lit, and no one supervises it to keep it clean and appetizing. The rooms are delightful, the TV service is outstanding, Internet is slow and spotty, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and the rooms are well appointed with fridges, microwaves, and coffee machines. Kudos to you for serving the many power line and tree cutting crews in Nashville right now to restore power and take care of thousands of fallen trees.
So me and my fiancé stayed here for our vacation and honestly it was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We found an old donut left in the microwave, the doors on the shower weren’t even clean, the towels weren’t stocked, the bed sheets weren’t changed, like this room hadn’t been cleaned or touched since the last guest. I would know because I am housekeeper myself and I tell you what I would have never left a room looking like that on my laziest day. We’re from out of state and instead of going up front and telling them I handled it myself and got attitude for asking for new sheets and towels. The towels I was handed was straight up small pool towels but they went through so much trouble to look up my reservation for them. I was a paying customer if I ask you for towels I should get a towel, a regular towel not some shrink up chest piece of garbage. I understand if you ran out but at the time they didn’t because I saw the nice towels given to everyone else. Not only that but the workers aren’t polite at all one of them was incredibly rude about my parking because I’m clearly from a different state otherwise I wouldn’t be there and then the other one took 20minutes to get me a single roll of toilet paper. There was maybe ONE person that was polite and it was a housekeeper he gave me everything I needed in one swing with a great attitude and smile. He didn’t treat me like a piece of crap. He should get a raise but the rest honestly need fired they’re just lazy. I could do a better job I’ve even had experience and I’ve cleaned much bigger rooms and I’ve never left a dirty one like that.
Let me start by saying will be total positive review.. So, don't be fool by the exterior because the inside has been refurbished, beds are very comfortable and that shower head is awesome!! BTW, didn't use the pool nor the hot tub..
Nice clean rooms, lowkey thought it was gonna be a run down place but it was actually really good. The only thing was is that the WiFi is kinda slow and the breakfast has minimal options, but other than that I’d give it a 10/10. Also it’s close to a lot of driveable things! For walkable, there was a Walgreens close which was very convent and some gas stations and I think a grocery store. Overall really good and the front desk receptionist was very nice! I forgot his name but he was very nice and made checking in and out very smooth. Definitely will be coming back again soon!!
Here the reason why I gave it three stars instead of five. First of all I think this hotel just needs some good TLC. The floors weren’t vacuumed and the back door didn’t really have any security it just opened and had a big crack in it. The room well again needed to be vacuumed good and everything wiped down a bit better. There was no water pressure whatsoever the shower and the faucet was so slow. Shower was hot I’ll give them that. The AC/Heater barely worked we turned the fan and it didn’t even keep the room cool lucky it wasn’t that hot out. Even if we wanted to open the window we couldn’t since there was no screen. Also I know we are next to the interstate so there will be road noise. The window sounded like it was wide open and we could hear everything. The fridge didn’t work it ran but didn’t keep cool, there was a light out in the room could’ve been a bulb but we didn’t want to disturb anyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it is a great place to stay if you’re on a budget.
This is a "Pet Friendly" hotel. This is why we stayed here as we travel with our 2 furry family members. The pet rooms have solid surface oors and are by the doors. Excellent location. The room is very clean and well kept. The in room coffee pot was missing parts so it was not usuable. Overall the hotel is used by work crews so the relatively new carpet in the public areas is often dirty. Wear shoes everywhere. The ice is on the second floor and leaks so there is always water on the floor. They have several roof leaks so there are buckets in the hallway on the second floor. Overall this building needs service
